Von Duprin 114317-00 (QEL) Quiet Motorized Latch Retraction Modular Conversion Kit, For Use with 33A/35A/98/99 Devices
Quiet electric latch retraction (QEL) provides electronic control of an exit device for environments where limited operational noise is desired. The QEL option is Von Duprin’s solution of choice for hospitals, libraries, museums and theaters where ambient noise can be disruptive. The QEL can retract a latchbolt momentarily or on an extended, scheduled basis via access control system.
The modular conversion kit was developed to improve the flexibility, cost, and installation process without the requirement of replacing the entire baseplate assembly. The modular motor assembly provides the same functionality and fits in both 3’ device and 4’ device. The modular QEL conversion kit should be selected unless the product is currently a solenoid- driven latch retraction device (EL).
